10MW Generator Site Foundations and Conduits

Greenville Utilities Commission is requesting quotations for the furnishing and installation of generator site foundations and conduits. The scope includes construction of five (5) reinforced concrete generator foundation pads measuring 12'11" by 44'1" with four stair pads per foundation. The project also requires installation of eight (8) 4-inch conduits and two (2) 2-inch conduits from each foundation to existing transformers, along with ground grid installation around each foundation tied into existing foundations.

Key deliverables include all site work associated with foundation installation, excavation, off-site disposal of excavated spoils, grading, backfilling, compaction, foundation layout, concrete work with reinforcement, forming materials, and complete conduit systems with couplings, connectors, and fittings. The materialman is responsible for all demolition, hauling, disposal, labor, supervision, tools, equipment, and supplies necessary for complete installation. The materialman also assumes all liabilities associated with asset removal and is responsible for any required remediation or decommissioning before removal from site.

All work must comply with the latest editions of the National Electrical Code, North Carolina Building Code, National Electric Safety Code, and National Fire Protection Association Codes. Concrete specifications require a minimum 28-day compressive strength of 4,500 psi, with specific requirements for materials, workmanship, curing, and testing. All construction must conform to ACI, ASTM, and CRSI standards. The delivery location is 3280 MacGregor Downs Road, Greenville, North Carolina. Materialman must provide 48-hour notice to Nicholas Peaden prior to equipment and material deliveries. Quotations must include all costs for delivery and installation at the project site.

Bidders must submit their responses on the enclosed quotation form and are required to comply with Greenville Utilities Commission's Minority and Women Business Enterprise (M/WBE) Program with aspirational goals of 7% MBE and 4% WBE participation for construction projects valued at $100,000 and above.
