San Diego Gas & Electric Company (SDG&E) is issuing a Green Tariff Shared Renewables (GTSR) Program joint Request for Offers (RFO) seeking contracts with facilities that produce Renewable Portfolio Standard (RPS)-eligible energy. The solicitation is for implementing two programs: (1) Green Tariff (GT) program (EcoChoice) allowing customers to choose a higher percentage of renewable generation than currently provided by SDG&E; and (2) Enhanced Community Renewables (EcoShare) allowing customers to participate in community-based projects. The program is designed to make clean renewable energy available to bundled utility customers, increase overall volume of renewable energy in the San Diego area, and increase options for institutional, commercial and residential customers to meet renewable energy goals. SDG&E seeks offers sized 20 MW or less for either EcoShare or EcoChoice programs, with total program capacity available up to 59 MW, including 10 MW set aside for projects in designated Environmental Justice (EJ) areas. Distributed Energy Resource Providers (DERP) can aggregate resources to meet CAISO 0.5 MW minimum size requirements. This solicitation uses non-modifiable, CPUC pre-approved Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) structures.
