Request for Proposals for bulk energy storage resources that will be interconnected to the Long Island electric grid. This RFP seeks proposals for energy storage projects that can be developed on LIPA-owned properties or other suitable locations on Long Island. The proposal process includes mandatory submission of a Notice of Intent, detailed technical and commercial proposals, environmental assessments, and consideration of various site locations including Barrett North, Barrett South, Far Rockaway Substation, Glenwood South, Shoreham, West Babylon, and Port Jefferson.
