SDG&E is issuing this RFO seeking proposals from third parties (Respondents) interested in purchasing bundled renewable energy from a Bioenergy Renewable Auction Mechanism (BioRAM) resource under contract with SDG&E. The RFO solicits bids for bundled electric energy and Renewable Energy Credits (RECs), defined as energy plus environmental attributes from renewable generation facilities with a first point of interconnection within a California Balancing Authority (CBA) or facilities that directly schedule electricity into a CBA on an hourly or sub-hourly basis. The Bundled Energy Product is derived from a Resource that meets California Renewables Portfolio Standard (RPS) eligibility criteria set forth by the California Energy Commission (CEC). This RFO solicits bids from financial institutions, energy service providers, utilities, municipal utilities, industrial end users, wholesale power marketers, and any other entity that would have a need to purchase bundled renewable energy. Two delivery periods are available: (1) July 1, 2022 through December 31, 2022 with terms of 1-6 months and deliveries up to 90,000 MWh (As Available), and (2) January 1, 2023 through January 31, 2027 with terms of 1 year to 4 years and 1 month and deliveries up to 175,000 MWh (As Available) per year. All products require minimum total contract volume of 10,000 MWh (As Available). Point of delivery is NP-15 EZ Gen Hub.
