NV Energy is issuing an open resource request for proposals to secure proposals for the acquisition of long-term dispatchable energy and energy storage resources with a minimum size of 20 MW together with all associated environmental and renewable energy attributes. The company is seeking proposals for renewable generation, conventional generation, and energy storage under various types of agreements. Projects must be capable of delivering energy to serve load in NV Energy's retail service territory and must be approved by the Public Utilities Commission of Nevada. All proposals must include a completed Facilities Study or Large Generator Interconnection Agreement issued by NV Energy's transmission provider. Project proposals must allow for a commercial operation date on or before December 31, 2028. Evaluation will be based on economic benefit to Nevada, job opportunities in Nevada, and best value to NV Energy's customers.
