Entergy Services, LLC (ESL) on behalf of Entergy Texas, Inc. (ETI) is conducting a solicitation to explore the potential for adding a Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS) solution at the planned Legend Power Station to meet customers' needs for affordable, reliable, and sustainable low carbon electricity. Legend is a planned nominally sized 754 MW combined cycle combustion turbine power plant to be located in Port Arthur, Texas. This solicitation is an exploratory effort where ETI seeks information from interested parties regarding costs and ability to execute a 'wrap' CCS solution adjacent to Legend. Under the 'wrap' construct, a singular service provider would be responsible for the full value chain of CCS associated with Legend, from capture to sequestration of the CO2. If successful, the effort is expected to advance through a Front-End Engineering and Design (FEED) study for CCS at Legend, and eventually result in the execution of a bilateral arrangement where the selected contracting party would be responsible for the 'wrap' CCS services.
