LIPA is seeking a senior-level AI Engineer to design, build, and deploy enterprise AI solutions using Microsoft Azure Foundry AI, Microsoft Fabric, Microsoft 365 Copilot, Copilot Studio, and Azure OpenAI Service. The position requires extensive experience in designing and implementing generative, agentic, predictive, and autonomous AI and machine learning solutions with emphasis on model selection, prompt engineering, RAG patterns, and responsible AI governance.
Key responsibilities include developing end-to-end data and AI pipelines in Microsoft Fabric and Copilot Studio leveraging Data Factory, Synapse Data Engineering, OneLake, Real-Time Analytics, and AWS Redshift. The successful candidate will build and extend Microsoft 365 Copilot and custom Copilot agents using Copilot Studio, Graph connectors, and plugins to automate business processes. Additional duties encompass integrating Azure OpenAI, Azure AI Search, and Azure AI Document Intelligence into line-of-business applications, architecting semantic models and data warehouses, and developing secure APIs using Azure Functions and Logic Apps.
Required qualifications include 8+ years of software engineering or AI/ML solution development in enterprise environments, 5+ years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure AI services, and 3+ years working with Microsoft Fabric and building Microsoft 365 Copilot extensions. Strong proficiency in Python, C#, or TypeScript is mandatory, along with experience implementing RAG architectures, vector databases, and MLOps/LLMOps practices. Candidates should possess a Bachelor's degree in computer science, data science, engineering, or related field, with relevant Microsoft certifications (AI-102, DP-600, PL-300, or AI-900) preferred.
