203578 - Crane Rental and Operator

EPCOR is seeking a contractor to provide crane rental services with certified operators on an as-required basis. The contractor must maintain a diverse fleet including boom trucks, rough terrain cranes, hydraulic trucks, and all-terrain cranes suitable for lifting activities in high-voltage environments. The successful proponent will provide cranes with certified operators in compliance with Alberta legislation, including health, safety, and environment requirements.

The cranes will be used by EPCOR in Edmonton and potentially surrounding areas, as well as at Genesee (located approximately 70 kilometers southwest of Edmonton). Services must be available on very short notice, sometimes less than one day. The successful proponent must have the ability and capacity to simultaneously supply multiple crane types with operators to more than one work site on short notice.

The successful proponent will be required to enter into a three-year agreement with options to renew for up to two additional one-year terms. EPCOR reserves the right to award the work to more than one proponent. Key deadlines include: question deadline of June 22, 2026 at 12:01 PM MDT, and bid closing date of June 29, 2026 at 2:01:59 PM MDT. Submissions must be made online only.
