25-0088A Freiheit Control House and Breaker Additions

New Braunfels Utilities seeks procurement and installation services for control house and breaker additions at the Freiheit substation. The project scope includes procuring a prefabricated control house, procuring and installing new relay panels, a new SCADA panel and communications panel, installing three feeder breakers and two tie breakers, one vertical air break switch, installing a prefabricated cable trough with three underground feeder exits, replacing buswork and switches in multiple distribution bays, and all other appurtenances necessary to complete the project.

The project has been designed by Schneider Engineering, LLC. Design drawings include protection and control design drawings dated 2025-01-27 and electrical and structural design drawings dated 2025-07-18. Technical specifications were finalized as of 2025-10-31.

Key dates include a pre-proposal meeting on November 19, 2025 at 16:30 UTC, a question and answer deadline of December 17, 2025 at 22:00 UTC, and a proposal submission deadline of February 3, 2026 at 19:00 UTC. The work is located at New Braunfels Utilities facilities in New Braunfels, Texas.

Proposals will be evaluated based on compliance with technical specifications, design drawings, and project requirements. Vendors must provide detailed cost estimates and implementation schedules.
