26-079 CSU Electric Dept Gate Upgrade Project

The City of College Station is seeking sealed bids for the removal and replacement of the existing primary access gate to the College Station Utilities Electric yard. The project is located at 1601 S. Graham Road, College Station, Texas 77845.

Scope of Work includes: installation of a new exterior chain-link sliding gate, a new barrier arm gate, and construction of a concrete median with associated electrical conduit and utility routing. Concrete driveway modifications and pavement work will be required to accommodate the proposed gate layout and median improvements. Modifications and/or relocation of the adjacent fence line are anticipated to accommodate the new gate configuration.

Key Dates and Requirements: A mandatory pre-bid meeting will be held on June 25, 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Public Utilities Meeting and Training Facility located at 1603 Graham Road, College Station, Texas. Attendance at this meeting is mandatory for any bid submission. A site visit will follow the meeting; attendees must bring hard hats and wear closed-toe shoes. Written questions must be submitted through the online Q&A portal by June 29, 2026 at 2:00 PM CT. Sealed bids must be addressed to the City of College Station - Purchasing Division and received by July 7, 2026 at 2:00 PM CT. Bids received after the deadline will not be accepted. All qualified bids will be opened and read aloud via Teams meeting.

Project Constraints: Working hours for this project are Monday through Friday between 7:00 AM and 4:30 PM. Bidders should refer to the bid documents including McCordGessner civil drawings and Merchants Metals specifications for detailed plans and material requirements.
