Massachusetts' fourth offshore wind solicitation for long-term contracts for offshore wind energy projects pursuant to Section 83C of Chapter 169 of the Acts of 2008, as amended by the Energy Diversity Act, and the Act Driving Clean Energy and Offshore Wind. The RFP was coordinated with Rhode Island and Connecticut. The evaluation resulted in selection of 1,087 MW of the 1,287 MW SouthCoast Wind multistate project, 791 MW of the 791 MW New England Wind 1 project, and up to 800 MW of the 1,200 MW Vineyard Wind 2 project. The procurement is part of a procurement schedule developed by the Distribution Companies and DOER in accordance with the authority granted to DOER.
