AI Overview
Associated Electric Cooperative Inc. (AECI) is soliciting proposals for firm electric generation capacity and associated energy from dispatchable generation resources with firm delivery to the AECI transmission system. AECI is a generation and transmission cooperative headquartered in Springfield, Missouri, serving six transmission cooperative member-owners that collectively supply electricity to 51 member distribution cooperatives in Missouri, southeast Iowa, and northeast Oklahoma, powering more than 935,000 member-consumer homes, farms, schools, and businesses.
Proposals are sought for approximately 450 MW of dispatchable capacity and energy resources with an in-service date no later than December 1, 2030, and an additional 450 MW with an in-service date no later than December 1, 2031. AECI encourages respondents to propose earlier commercial operation dates where possible. Individual resources must have a nameplate capacity of at least 100 MW, and proposals must be for a contract term or expected useful life of not less than five years. Proposals will be accepted for: Power Purchase Agreements (PPA) sourced from existing or proposed physical generating resources; Existing Asset Purchase Agreements (EAPA) for existing generation resources; and Build Transfer Agreements (BTA) for proposed generation resources capable of delivering energy to the AECI transmission system. Virtual PPAs and financial offers for capacity and energy not backed by physical generation resources with energy deliverability will not be accepted.
