ANNUAL ELECTRICAL MOTOR REPAIR

Lakeland Electric seeks a qualified and experienced electrical motor contractor to provide comprehensive repair and reconditioning services for industrial electric motors used in the utility's power production plants. The contractor shall furnish all transportation, facilities, materials, labor, and supervision necessary to inspect, clean, rewind, and perform general reconditioning of electric motors as needed throughout the contract period.

Services include pick-up and delivery on a FOB destination basis with full freight allowed to the plant site as designated by the owner. The contractor is responsible for removing and reinstalling all couplings, pulleys, and gears attached to motor shafts as part of the base bid. All shafts must be checked for undue wear, scoring, and straightness, with bearing and seal journals verified to be concentric with the shaft diameter. The contractor must comply with all safety and occupational health specifications and provide comprehensive insurance coverage as required.

Key dates include a questions and answers deadline of December 21, 2023, and a proposal submission deadline of December 28, 2023 at 7:00 PM. Bidders must complete all required forms including the vendor questionnaire, contractor safety evaluation form, and PSM contractor annual audit form. Reference documentation includes requirements for clean-up and repair of DC motors and previous bid tabulation from bid #7221.

Submission must include a completed pricing sheet detailing labor rates, material costs, and any other applicable charges. The successful contractor will be selected based on qualifications, experience, safety record, and competitive pricing.
