Annual Inspection & Testing of Aerial Devices and Digger Derricks

Lakeland Electric is soliciting bids for annual inspection and testing services of aerial devices and digger derricks used by the utility. The successful bidder must be a certified testing and inspection company with qualified and experienced inspectors holding minimum ASNT Level II certifications in accordance with ASNT SNT-TC-1A standards. The contractor must also maintain a minimum of two (2) in-house ASNT Level III technicians in all methods to monitor testing procedures and equipment.

The scope of work includes non-destructive testing and inspection of forty-four (44) total units comprising thirty-six (36) bucket trucks, five (5) auger trucks, and three (3) easement rigs. All testing and inspection shall be performed in accordance with ASNT, ANSI, and ASTM guidelines. The contractor must furnish all necessary licensing, permits, reporting services, documentation, consumable materials, tools, equipment, labor, and supervision required to complete the specified testing and inspection work.

Key dates include a Q&A deadline of September 14, 2023 at 9:00 PM and a proposal submission deadline of September 21, 2023 at 6:30 PM. All bids must be submitted in complete accordance with the invitation to bid, attached specifications, and all referenced codes, requirements, and regulations. The contractor must provide comprehensive insurance coverage and comply with all safety and occupational health requirements outlined in the specifications.
