Annual Installation of Underground Electric Conduit for the Lakeland Electric Energy Delivery Engineering Division

Lakeland Electric seeks a qualified contractor to perform underground infrastructure installation work for utility electric conduit on an as-needed basis. Materials will be provided by Lakeland Electric, and work will be called on an as-needed basis throughout the contract period. Projects may range from one week to four months in duration on average. The contractor will be responsible for installation of underground electric conduit and related site restoration work, potentially including restoration of project sites to historical standards in the downtown area of Lakeland, Florida.

Lakeland Electric will provide permitting, right-of-way staking, and de-energization support as required. The contractor must work closely with Lakeland Electric personnel during de-energization procedures and coordinate all installation activities. The scope includes comprehensive insurance and safety requirements, with contractors required to maintain specified insurance coverage and comply with occupational health and safety specifications detailed in the solicitation documents.

Key dates include a pre-proposal meeting on January 22, 2025 at 3:30 PM, a questions and answers deadline of February 5, 2025 at 10:00 PM, and a proposal submission deadline of February 12, 2025 at 8:00 PM. The solicitation was released on January 15, 2025.
