ANNUAL PRODUCTION WELL INSPECTION SERVICES

The City of Lakeland Water Utilities Department seeks a qualified and experienced contractor to provide annual production well inspection and maintenance services. The work involves removing vertical turbine pumps, motors, discharge heads, column shafting (up to approximately 240 feet), bearing retainers, bearings, and pump bowls from production wells at two facilities: the T.B. Williams and C.W. Combee Water Treatment Plants and their related well fields. The contractor shall inspect pump assemblies, perform necessary repairs, and reinstall the equipment. One pump assembly at a time will be serviced from each facility, with an anticipated four pumps processed annually (three from the NW Wellfield and one from the NE Wellfield) during the contract term.

The successful bidder must provide all labor, supervision, materials, equipment, tools, supplies, and administrative support necessary to complete the work. All work shall comply with Specification No. A.P.W.I.-18, applicable codes, regulations, and requirements outlined in the Invitation to Bid. The contract will involve annual cycles of well pump servicing to maintain system operational integrity.
