Annual Tree Pruning & Removal Services

The City of Lakeland seeks a qualified and experienced tree trimming contractor to provide comprehensive tree pruning and removal services to supplement the city's urban forestry program. The contractor shall provide all supervision, labor, equipment, tools, materials, and supplies necessary to prune and remove trees and palms within the rights-of-way of the city's streets, alleyways, parks, and other designated areas as specified by the city. Services may be performed in close proximity to energized power lines of the city's transmission and distribution system, requiring properly trained and equipped personnel capable of operating from hydraulic lift (bucket) trucks. Each crew should consist of one crew leader and two grounds men, with personnel qualified in proper traffic control procedures.

The contract period shall commence upon issuance of a purchase order and continue through September 30, 2025, with options for four one-year renewals upon mutual consent. The contractor must comply with all City of Lakeland specifications, codes, regulations, and requirements referenced in the invitation to bid. All work must be performed in accordance with city safety and occupational health specifications, and the contractor must maintain appropriate insurance coverage as detailed in the solicitation documents.
