Appliance Upgrade Program- Application for Retailer and Contractor Enrollment

The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) Home Electrification and Appliance Rebates (HEAR) program, funded through the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA), seeks to enroll retailers and contractors to participate in NYSERDA's Appliance Upgrade Program. NYSERDA will administer the program to provide rebates to income-eligible New Yorkers (below 150% AMI - Area Median Income) for ENERGY STAR® certified heat pump clothes dryers (including all-in-one washer-dryers with heat pump dryers) as well as rebates for Electrical Wiring and Panel Upgrades necessary for appliance installations. Future program updates will include ENERGY STAR® certified induction stoves/cooktops/ranges. Participating Retailers will provide Program Appliance rebates at the point-of-sale through an Appliance Coupon mechanism. Participating Contractors will provide appliance installations, electrical wiring upgrades, panel upgrades, and rebates for such Program Measures. Participating Contractors are eligible to receive installation incentives for each Program Measure. The program operates on a continuous enrollment basis for both retailers and contractors.
