Zone 7 Water Agency (the Agency) is issuing this Request for Quote (RFQ) to procure replacement five-gas detectors, calibration and charging stations, and related accessories supporting the Agency's confined space entry program. The existing confined space gas detection instruments have reached the end of their service life and are becoming increasingly costly to maintain. As life safety equipment required for confined space entry, these instruments must provide accurate and reliable atmospheric monitoring to ensure employee safety and compliance with Cal/OSHA regulations. The new equipment will improve reliability, reduce maintenance requirements, and ensure continued compliance with regulatory requirements while enhancing employee safety.

The specific equipment sought includes Blackline G8 5 Gas Air Monitors, which are portable multi-gas detectors capable of simultaneously monitoring for five gases typically encountered in confined space environments (oxygen, combustible gas, carbon monoxide, hydrogen sulfide, and one additional gas). The RFQ also covers calibration stations and charging stations, as well as any related accessories necessary for the operation and maintenance of the detectors. This procurement is a simple purchase under a fixed-price quotation, and the Agency will issue a purchase order to the successful vendor.
