BPUB 2024 INTEGRATED RESOURCE PLAN

Brownsville Public Utilities Board (BPUB) solicited consulting services for the development of a comprehensive 2024 Integrated Resource Plan (IRP). The IRP is a strategic planning document that evaluates energy resources, demand forecasts, and infrastructure investments needed to serve BPUB's service territory over the planning horizon.

The scope of work includes analysis of generation resources, transmission and distribution systems, and demand-side management strategies. Consultants must assess the utility's resource adequacy, evaluate capacity and energy needs, and develop recommendations for meeting customer demand reliably and cost-effectively. The plan integrates technical, financial, and environmental considerations to support long-term infrastructure planning and regulatory compliance.

This is a closed bid opportunity. The RFP was posted on January 8, 2024. Two addenda were issued during the bidding period to clarify requirements and address questions from potential proposers.
