Cables and Actuators for Gas Turbine 3 and Gas Turbine 4

The City of Pasadena Water and Power Department is seeking qualified vendors to supply Cables and Actuators (VBV) for use with Gas Turbines GT-3 and GT-4 located at the Glenarm Power Plant in Pasadena, California. These components are critical for accurate monitoring and reliable operation of the gas turbines and must meet specified technical and quality standards.

The Glenarm Power Plant consists of five natural gas-fired combustion turbine units. GT-1 and GT-2 are 1970s-era Curtiss-Wright simple cycle units rated at 26 MW each. GT-3 and GT-4 are GE LM6000 simple cycle gas turbines with 47 MW capacity each. GT-5 is a combined cycle unit combining a GE LM6000 gas turbine with a Shin Nippon Steam Turbine totaling 71 MW capacity. These units primarily provide power generation during peak periods.
