Carriage Oaks EST Rehabilitation

The City of Georgetown is seeking sealed bids for the construction and rehabilitation of the Carriage Oaks Elevated Storage Tank (EST). The project scope includes comprehensive tank repairs and upgrades to restore the facility to full operational capacity.

Key work items include: general tank repairs involving interior and exterior welding repairs, corrosion-related repairs, and general restoration work to restore tank integrity; interior and exterior sandblasting, cleaning, and recoating with containment, protection, dehumidification, and dust control measures; replacement of nuts and bolts at ladder-to-riser connections with triple-dipped galvanized hardware; replacement of the 18-inch expansion joint and 18-inch butterfly valve on inlet/outlet piping and pedestal base; replacement of two 36-inch by 36-inch roof access hatches; replacement of interior pedestal access ladder, interior access tube ladder, and interior wet access ladder safety climb systems; removal of existing ladder safety cage and installation of self-closing swing gates with modifications to intermediary ladder platforms; cleaning and recoating of interior overflow piping and weir cone within the tank's bowl; installation of a passive mixing system on inlet/outlet piping; relocation and securing of existing electrical and coax cables; replacement of obstruction light, photocell, and lightbulbs on tank roof; sediment removal and disinfection prior to tank re-filling; and installation, integration, and maintenance of a temporary pressure system during rehabilitation.

Bids must be electronically submitted through the City E-bid system at https://gtowntx.ionwave.net/Login.aspx on or before July 23, 2026, at 2:00 PM Central Time. Sealed bids may alternatively be received at the Georgetown Municipal Court, Purchasing Department, 510 W. 9th Street, Georgetown, Texas 78626. Bidders must submit bid security (sealed bid bond, certified check, or cashier's check) as an attachment to their electronic bid, with original documents to be delivered within 48 business hours of bid opening.

A non-mandatory pre-bid video conference will be held on July 9, 2026, at 10:00 AM via Microsoft Teams, with the project site available for inspection immediately following the conference.
