CPS Energy seeks multiple prime contractors to fulfill weatherization services for its Casa Verde program. The initiative aims to support customers with the highest energy burden by providing free installation of energy efficiency upgrades. The program includes three main service categories: (1) Customer Management - includes customer intakes, answering customers' questions, conducting outreach, verifying applicants' qualifications, and assigning contractors; (2) Installation Services - can include attic and wall insulation, caulking and sealing windows and doors, and other weatherization work; (3) Assessment and Inspection Services - include assessing homes as Casa Verde candidates and inspecting completed work to meet standards. Over the next five years, CPS Energy aims to weatherize 16,000 homes as part of the Sustainable Tomorrow Energy Plan (STEP), with goals of 410 MW of demand reduction, 1% energy savings per year, and 1.85 million tons of avoided carbon. CPS Energy has allocated $82.5 million for the weatherization of these homes.
