Caterpillar generator maintenance and repair

The City of St. Petersburg is seeking a contractor to provide comprehensive maintenance and repair services for Caterpillar generators ranging from 100KW to 2000KW capacity. These stationary and portable generators operate on diesel, biogas, natural gas, or propane fuel and are deployed across multiple city facilities including water and wastewater treatment plants, pumping stations, lift stations, police headquarters, fleet facilities, fire stations, and sanitation operations throughout St. Petersburg and Odessa, Florida. The contractor must supply all labor, materials, supervision, tools, equipment, transportation, travel time, diagnostic devices, and necessary expenses to maintain these critical backup power systems.

The generators provide essential prime and backup power for sensitive municipal facilities during power outages and rolling blackouts. The City has designated water treatment with potable water supply and reclamation facilities, fire and rescue, police, and sanitation departments as first responders where generator reliability is critical for health and safety purposes. Annual spending for these services is approximately $400,000 based on the previous fiscal year. The contractor must be familiar with Caterpillar generator specifications and capable of servicing the entire fleet as detailed in the attached equipment list.
