Chlorine 99.5%

The Washington Suburban Sanitary Commission (WSSC) is soliciting sealed responses for the supply and delivery of Chlorine 99.5% for use in water and wastewater treatment facilities. The contractor shall furnish and deliver Chlorine 99.5% to support continuous and uninterrupted supply of chemicals to water and wastewater treatment plants located in Prince George's and Montgomery Counties, Maryland. The primary objective is to ensure uninterrupted production of water and wastewater in adherence to Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) guidelines and to maintain high water treatment standards while meeting regulatory requirements and supporting the smooth operation of treatment facilities.

WSC Water is a bi-county agency and public corporation of the State of Maryland, established in 1918, serving 1.9 million residents in Montgomery and Prince George's Counties. The utility operates a network of nearly 5,600 miles of freshwater pipeline and more than 5,400 miles of sewer pipeline, making it one of the largest water and wastewater utilities in the nation.
