Circuit Automation Installations Interest Form

OG&E has initiated work associated with its Adaptable Grid Project, which includes critical upgrades to modernize distribution operations and enable expanded use of Fault Location, Isolation, and Service Restoration (FLISR) capabilities. The grid automation scope encompasses protective relay upgrades, communications systems enhancements within substations, and installation of new or upgraded distribution equipment including smart lateral fuses, automated tie lines, communicating capacitor banks, and voltage regulators. These improvements will modernize protection schemes and further automate distribution operations across the OG&E service territory.

The specific work scope includes circuit automation installations (TripSavers and Intellirupters) and addition of communication capabilities to existing voltage regulator and capacitor installations. All work will be performed in accordance with approved design specifications for the upgraded distribution equipment, with construction activities taking place within a defined region of the OG&E service territory.

OG&E anticipates conducting a sourcing event to engage qualified contractors for the installation of new equipment and replacement of existing physical assets at designated locations. Contracting for this work is expected to be issued on a unit-price basis. Suppliers interested in being considered for future Requests for Proposal (RFPs) related to the Adaptable Grid Project are required to complete the interest form to express their qualifications and interest.
