City Surveyor Consultant Services

The City of West Sacramento (City), through its Community Development Department, is soliciting proposals for City Surveyor Consultant Services under Solicitation 26-075-RFP. The City currently has no permanent staff person authorized to perform the duties of City Surveyor and, in consideration of a fluctuating workload, has elected to outsource this position. This Request for Proposals (RFP) will lead to the permanent appointment of a City Surveyor for the City of West Sacramento. Both individuals and professional firms are encouraged to apply.

Proposers must be authorized by the California Business and Professions Code to act in the capacity of City Surveyor and must submit a proposal in conformity with the terms of the RFP by the stated deadline. The selected Proposer, referred to as Contractor, will supplement existing City staff with professional surveying services supporting municipal functions, including capital projects, public works, and the City's water, wastewater, and solid waste utility operations. West Sacramento is a full-service, riverfront community of approximately 55,000 residents with nine departments and nearly 500 full-time employees, providing police and fire protection, park, street, fleet, and facility maintenance, economic development, housing, community development, and capital projects. The City also maintains port, water, wastewater, and solid waste enterprise funds along with related entities such as the West Sacramento Redevelopment Successor Agency, Reclamation District 900, and the West Sacramento Area Flood Control Agency.
