Clean Energy Communities – Action Track

NYSERDA is soliciting feedback on the design and implementation of the upcoming Clean Energy Communities (CEC) program, anticipated to launch in spring 2026. This Request for Information (RFI) is directed at municipal staff, elected officials, community board members, and staff from other public-purpose town departments such as police and fire departments. Respondents are asked to provide input on general program design, the benefits of specific clean energy actions, and various grant options that may be included in the program.

Respondents should review the details provided in the RFI document and respond to the specific questions outlined through the designated online response form. Responses should reflect the perspectives and needs of municipal stakeholders regarding clean energy initiatives. NYSERDA does not intend to publish individual responses to this RFI. The feedback collected will be used to inform and shape the action track component of the Clean Energy Communities program.

The submission deadline for Round 1 is March 20, 2026. Respondents should submit their feedback through the online response form accessible via NYSERDA's platform. All submissions should address the questions set forth in the RFI document to ensure comprehensive feedback on program design and implementation considerations.
