AI overview
Pacific Gas and Electric Company (PG&E) is issuing this Interconnection Process Request for Information (IP RFI) to participate in the California Independent System Operator Corporation's (CAISO) load serving entity (LSE) Cluster 16 Commercial Interest Point Allocation, as outlined in the CAISO Tariff. This RFI is specifically directed at interconnection queue participants seeking to obtain PG&E's LSE commercial interest points for the CAISO Cluster 16 interconnection process. PG&E reserves the right to allocate its LSE commercial interest points to Cluster 16 interconnection queue participants at its sole discretion, in accordance with the CAISO tariff Appendix KK (Resource Interconnection Standards) and all applicable law.
To be eligible to participate in PG&E's IP RFI and potentially receive PG&E's commercial interest point allocations, participants must provide documentation proving that their project meets three minimum requirements: (1) at least 90% site control as required by FERC Order No. 2023, (2) transmission plan deliverability (TPD) available in the project's interconnection zone, and (3) TPD available at the project's point of interconnection (POI). All RFI documents are located on the Power Advocate online platform, and participants must register on that platform to access and submit information.
The IP RFI schedule includes the following key dates: PG&E issues the IP RFI on July 22, 2026; the deadline for participants to submit requested information via the Power Advocate online platform is August 12, 2026; IP RFI Selection Notification is September 4, 2026; Point Allocation Agreement Execution runs from selection notification to October 19, 2026; and PG&E's LSE commercial interest point allocation information is due to the CAISO 10 days after the CAISO publishes the list of interconnection requests for QC16.
For questions or information regarding the Cluster 16 IP RFI, participants should email IPRFI@pge.com. To receive notices about this RFI and be added to PG&E's RFO Distribution List, interested parties can visit the Distribution List Form. PG&E reserves the right to allocate its LSE commercial interest points to Cluster 16 interconnection queue participants at its sole discretion in accordance with the CAISO tariff Appendix KK and all applicable law.
