COLLEGE STATION ELECTRIC YARD IMPROVEMENTS

The City of College Station seeks a qualified contractor to provide all labor, materials, equipment, and supervision necessary to complete site improvements for the College Station Utilities Yard project located at 1601 S. Graham Road, College Station, Texas 77845. The project encompasses approximately 4.45 to 8.55 acres and includes mobilization, permitting, utility locating, erosion and sediment control installation, clearing and grubbing, and comprehensive site earthwork. Contractors must perform rough and final grading to establish proposed drainage patterns, regrade existing gravel areas, and construct drainage improvements to maintain proper site runoff conditions.

The scope includes installation of approximately 6-inch gravel pavement and 7-inch concrete pavement for yard areas and access drives, coordination and protection of existing utilities, and minor utility adjustments as required. All work must comply with a Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP), including implementation and maintenance of best management practices such as silt fence, stabilized construction entrance, and sediment controls. SWPPP inspections must be performed every 14 days and after storm events. Final work includes fine grading, site stabilization with seeding and/or geotextile, removal of temporary erosion controls, site cleanup, and project closeout in compliance with all applicable local and state regulations.

Key dates include a mandatory pre-bid meeting on June 17, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. CT at the Public Utilities Meeting and Training Facility, 1603 Graham Road, College Station, Texas. Attendance at this meeting is mandatory for bid submission. The question cut-off date is June 22, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. CT. All sealed bids must be received by June 26, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. CT, after which time qualified bids will be opened via Teams meeting and read aloud. Working hours are Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., excluding weekends and legal holidays.
