Concrete and Steel Street Light Poles

The City of Denton (the City) is issuing this Request for Proposal (RFP) to solicit responses from qualified individuals or businesses to supply concrete and steel street light poles. The awarded contractor will be responsible for providing all goods and services as described in the scope of work, technical specifications, and associated attachments. The City seeks a contractor with a proven track record of innovative approaches and cost-effective solutions to meet municipal street lighting needs. Firms may submit proposals for one or more categories of products or services outlined in the solicitation. The City will also consider interlocal cooperative agreements and state/federal contracts in determining the best value.

From the posted questions and answers, the City has clarified several points: poles with a grey concrete finish are acceptable; staining is not required; the largest arm and light fixture weights are up to 30 pounds (which must be within pole standards); and partial bids are not accepted. The City does not have a preferred vendor for prefabricated concrete bases but has used Old Castle in the past. An anticipated delivery date has not been set, but respondents must include lead times on all items.
