Construction of Brushy Creek Substation

Bryan Texas Utilities (BTU) is soliciting electronic bids for the construction of a new substation at Brushy Creek, located at 5326 Raymond Stotzer Parkway in College Station, Texas. The project encompasses substation construction, site civil work, protection and control systems installation, and associated roadway and geotechnical improvements. The scope includes physical structural work, civil site preparation, protection and control systems at Brushy Creek, Snook, and Thompson Creek facilities, geotechnical assessments, and roadway improvements.

Key dates include a mandatory pre-bid meeting and site visit on Wednesday, April 29, 2026 at 9:30 AM CST at the BTU System Operations Center (2200 Fountain Avenue, Bryan, TX 77801), with the site visit immediately following at Brushy Creek Substation. The question cutoff date is May 13, 2026 at 5:00 PM CST. Electronic bids must be submitted by 2:00 PM CST on June 3, 2026 (deadline extended from the original May 20, 2026 date). Bid opening will occur electronically via Zoom immediately following the submission deadline.

Proposal documents include the main RFB (024-07-26), appendices covering physical structural work, civil improvements, protection and control systems for three substations, geotechnical reports, and three addendums providing clarifications and modifications.
