Direct Air Capture Pre-Commercial Demonstration and Community Engagement

This solicitation supports the development and deployment of advanced direct air capture (DAC) carbon dioxide removal (CDR) technologies through pre-commercial pilot and demonstration projects under real-world conditions. The Carbon Removal Innovation Support Program (CRISP) is administered by the California Energy Commission's Energy Research and Development Division.

Applicants must submit comprehensive applications including an executive summary, detailed project narrative, project team information, scope of work, project schedule, budget with detailed cost breakdown, CEQA compliance documentation, past project information, commitment and support letters, project performance metrics, and applicant declarations. All submissions must be completed through the Energy Commission Agreement Management System (ECAMS) portal, for which applicants must have a registered user account.
