Direct Air Capture Research, Demonstration, and Community Engagement
California Energy Commission is funding direct air capture research, demonstration, and community engagement projects through grant awards. Projects must address technical validation, cost reduction, or community benefit, with particular interest in facilities that remove CO₂ from ambient air and beneficially use or sequester the captured carbon. Funding supports bench-scale through pilot-scale operations and associated workforce development or community education components.
