San Diego Community Power (SDCP) is requesting proposals for Disadvantaged Communities Green Tariff (DAC-GT) and Community Solar Green Tariff (CSGT) eligible renewable energy projects. The DAC-GT program is authorized to procure 15.78 MW and the CSGT program is authorized to procure 4.38 MW. These programs were established pursuant to CPUC Decision 18-06-027 to promote installation of renewable generation among residential customers in disadvantaged communities (DAC) as directed by California Assembly Bill 327. Projects must be new solar, RPS-eligible, in-front-of-the-meter generating facilities. DAC-GT projects must be sized between 500 kW and 20 MW AC, while CSGT projects have no minimum size and a maximum of 3 MW AC. Projects must be located within SDG&E's service territory and within eligible disadvantaged communities as defined by CalEnviroScreen 4.0. For CSGT, projects must be located within 5 miles of the DAC census tracts where subscribing customers reside and include a letter of commitment from a non-profit community-based organization (CBO) or local government entity/school that would serve as a sponsor. All projects must have an online date no earlier than January 1, 2025, with contract terms of 10-20 years. Projects must provide energy, capacity attributes, and Renewable Energy Credits.
