Educational Consultant for Sustainability Education Center

The City of Anaheim Public Utilities Department (APU) seeks proposals for an Educational Consultant to support the development and implementation of educational programming at the new Sustainability Education Center (SEC). The consultant will be responsible for two primary deliverables: (1) developing a comprehensive educational curriculum aligned with APU's learning objective goals, and (2) training APU staff to deliver and facilitate the educational curriculum.

The SEC is a new facility under construction (began September 2024, projected completion Fall 2025) that will serve as APU's flagship educational demonstration center incorporating technology, sustainability, and workforce development programs relevant to Anaheim's electric and water utility operations. The center will expand APU's existing student programming and serve as a community resource to help residents prepare for a clean energy future. The educational programming will focus on energy efficiency and water conservation topics designed for student field trips and community engagement.

Key dates include: Q&A Deadline of March 15, 2025, and Proposal Submission Deadline of April 10, 2025. Respondents must meet minimum qualifications and will be evaluated according to specified evaluation criteria. The successful consultant(s) will work under a Professional Services Agreement consistent with Anaheim Council Policy 4.1.
