Electric Distribution Line Clearance, Tree Trimming, Right of Way Maintenance, Weed Control, Storm Clean-up and Related Work

Gainesville Regional Utilities (GRU) is soliciting contractors to provide labor and equipment for electric distribution and transmission line clearance, tree trimming, right-of-way maintenance, weed control, storm clean-up and related work in close proximity to energized distribution power lines located on public and/or private right-of-ways on GRU's electric transmission and distribution system. All herbicides will be provided by GRU. The contractor will be responsible for all labor, equipment, and materials necessary to perform the work safely and in compliance with GRU standards and specifications.

GRU is a multi-service utility company serving approximately 93,000 customers with electric, natural gas, water, wastewater and telecommunication services. The utility is governed by a five-member Utility Board appointed by the Governor of Florida. The service area has grown through annexations and consolidations, and GRU seeks qualified contractors to ensure safe and reliable electric services across its transmission and distribution system.
