F2006 Open Call for Power

BC Hydro issued the Fiscal 2006 (F2006) Open Call for Power on December 8, 2005, as a competitive solicitation for power supply. This Call for Tenders resulted from extensive engagement with First Nations, stakeholders, and the Independent Power Producer (IPP) community. The initiative seeks to acquire electricity from qualified bidders through a structured tender process.

Registered bidders participating in the F2006 Open Call for Power are required to familiarize themselves with comprehensive documentation including the Call for Tenders (CFT), reference documents, tender forms, and related materials. BC Hydro will maintain the Call for Power webpage with ongoing updates, including addenda and revised versions of CFT forms and reference documents. It is the sole responsibility of each bidder to regularly monitor the webpage for new postings and updates.

The solicitation includes multiple components: Call for Tenders documents and reference materials, standardized CFT forms for submissions, Electricity Purchase Agreements (EPAs) governing awarded contracts, a comprehensive Questions and Answers section addressing bidder inquiries, and scheduled bidders' workshops providing guidance on participation requirements and submission procedures.

Bidders must review all relevant documents including design documentation that details the Call development process, results from the tender evaluation, and archived materials superseded since the Call's issuance. BC Hydro assumes no liability for bidders who fail to check the webpage regularly or remain unaware of posted information, addenda, or document revisions.
