Fire Suppression Testing for Glenarm Power Plant

Pasadena Water and Power (PWP), a department of the City of Pasadena, is soliciting bids from qualified vendors to conduct yearly fire suppression system inspections for all generation units at the Glenarm Power Plant. The contract is for a 3-year term with annual fire inspection services required for each location. Vendors must include inspection report uploads to the BRYCER compliance engine as part of their service delivery.

The Glenarm Power Plant consists of five natural gas-fired combustion turbine units. Four simple cycle units are included: GT-1 and GT-2 are 1970s-era Curtiss-Wright gas turbines rated at 26 MW each, while GT-3 and GT-4 are GE LM6000 simple cycle gas turbines with 47 MW capacity each. GT-5 is a combined cycle unit featuring a GE LM6000 gas turbine paired with a Shin Nippon Steam Turbine for a total combined capacity of 71 MW. These units primarily provide power generation during peak demand periods.

Vendors must submit relevant experience forms, complete technical questionnaires, provide Unique Entity ID verification through SAM, disclose any lobbying activities, and certify federal compliance.
