Food Production Investment Program (FPIP) 2025

California Energy Commission is distributing grant funding to food processing plants for energy efficiency and decarbonization technologies that reduce peak-period grid demand and greenhouse gas emissions. Projects in under-resourced communities and those demonstrating grid benefits during net peak periods receive priority. Applications are open to California food processors adopting advanced efficiency equipment, thermal storage, process electrification, or renewable integration at individual facilities or multi-site operations.
