GFO-25-603 - California's National Electric Vehicle Infrastructure Formula Program – Solicitation 6 Community Charging

The California Energy Commission (CEC) announces a competitive grant solicitation with up to $79,000,000 in available funding for projects that will strategically deploy electric vehicle (EV) charging stations with publicly accessible, high-powered, direct current fast chargers (DCFCs). This funding supports light-duty EV travel along major corridors as required under the National Electric Vehicle Infrastructure (NEVI) formula program.

Applicants must submit applications through the Energy Commission Agreement Management System (ECAMS) portal and must have or create a user account to apply. All applications are due by September 25, 2026 at 11:59 pm. The solicitation includes two rounds of questions: Round 1 deadline is April 17, 2026 at 5:00 pm, and Round 2 deadline is June 22, 2026 at 5:00 pm.

A Pre-Application Workshop is scheduled for March 11, 2026 from 09:30 AM to 12:00 PM available via remote access. Applicants must submit comprehensive documentation including project narrative, station information, budget proposal, letters of commitment, preliminary site plans, CEQA and NEPA compliance worksheets, utility verification forms, resumes, contact lists, past performance references, and letters of support.
