GFO-25-902 - Cost-Share for Federal Geothermal Energy Funding Opportunities

This solicitation provides California Energy Commission (CEC) cost-share funding for applicants who successfully apply for and receive awards under eligible federal Funding Opportunity Announcements (FOAs) and meet the requirements specified in this solicitation. The program is administered through the Reliability, Renewable Energy & Decarbonization Incentives Division under the Geothermal Grant and Loan Program.

Applicants are required to submit their applications using the new Energy Commission Agreement Management System (ECAMS) portal. To participate, applicants must have or create a user account in the ECAMS system. Detailed instructions for user registration and the application process are provided through the User Registration Instructions and Applying for a Solicitation guides available on the CEC website.

The solicitation includes comprehensive submission requirements with multiple attachments covering application forms, project narratives, budget templates for Phase 1 and Phase 2, project team information, feasibility studies, scope of work, project schedules, and various supporting documentation. A pre-application workshop is scheduled for June 16, 2026 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM, available for remote access to assist potential applicants.
