The Midwest Renewable Energy Association (MREA) is seeking qualified firms to design, procure, and install new residential and small commercial photovoltaic systems as part of a bulk purchasing effort to lower prices. This group buy program aims to make solar energy more affordable and accessible to homeowners and small businesses in the Milwaukee and Waukesha County areas of Wisconsin.
The MREA will coordinate and deliver a minimum of six free, public Solar Power Hour information sessions and market them widely through email blasts, paid social media promotion, promotional partnerships, and press releases. Presentations will be offered as a combination of webinars and in-person events to educate the community about solar energy benefits and financing options.
Key deadlines for this RFP include: RFP announcement on February 20, 2026; RFP questions due and posted by March 5, 2026; RFP proposals due on March 20, 2026; and firm selection expected between March 23-27, 2026. Selected firms will work with MREA to serve a bulk purchasing program that has historically reached thousands of individuals across the Midwest since 2013.
