Hale Building Phase II

This invitation to bid solicits general construction and renovation services for Phase II of the Hale Building interior remodel project. Phase II encompasses the complete design and renovation of the 1st floor Historical Public Permit Services Center with all associated back-of-house office space, as well as third floor staff offices and conference room spaces. The project includes accessibility compliance upgrades to meet current ADA standards, installation of energy-efficient and water-saving fixtures to comply with Title 24 requirements, and implementation of building security measures. The scope of work also includes the procurement and installation of new furniture throughout the 1st and 3rd floors.

Key project dates include a pre-proposal conference scheduled for April 11, 2024 at 4:00 PM, a questions and answers deadline of April 18, 2024 at 9:00 PM, and a proposal submission deadline of May 2, 2024 at 9:00 PM. The project is being managed by the City of Pasadena Public Works Department, Engineering Division, and will follow American Institute of Architects (AIA) standards and templates for the labor and materials competitive bidding process.

Bidders must provide comprehensive proposals including detailed technical specifications, schedules, and cost estimates following the provided AIA Document A101-2017 format. All work must comply with federal requirements including prevailing wage standards, employment of apprentices, and HUD requirements where applicable. The contract will be awarded to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder meeting all qualification requirements and compliance certifications.
