Heartland Energy – MISO Zone 1 Capacity RFP

Heartland Energy, located in Madison, South Dakota, is soliciting proposals from selling parties to purchase MISO Zone 1 delivered Capacity (ZRCs). Heartland Energy serves as the supplemental wholesale power supplier to twenty-nine (29) customer distribution systems and six (6) institutions of the State of South Dakota, providing electric power and energy from owned generation or contracted sources. The organization operates as a load serving entity in both the Southwest Power Pool (SPP) and the Midcontinent Independent System Operator (MISO).

This RFP seeks qualified vendors capable of providing capacity resources in MISO Zone 1. Proposals should address the delivery of zone resource capacity to support Heartland Energy's operational requirements and contractual obligations to its member systems and state institutions.
