KIEFER LANDFILL BUILDING METHANE MONITORING

The County of Sacramento's Department of Waste Management and Recycling (DWMR) is seeking proposals for calibration and maintenance services for methane monitoring systems located in five buildings at Kiefer Landfill, 12701 Kiefer Boulevard, Sloughhouse, California, 95683. The selected firm will provide semiannual maintenance and monitoring services beginning in the third quarter of 2025.

The scope of work includes routine maintenance and calibration of existing methane monitoring systems across all five on-site buildings, as well as troubleshooting and repair services as needed. DWMR is seeking experienced firms with demonstrated expertise in building monitoring and methane system maintenance capable of delivering reliable, ongoing services.

Key dates: Questions and answers deadline is April 3, 2025 at 11:00 PM PT. Proposal submission deadline is April 24, 2025 at 9:00 PM PT. The RFP was released on March 21, 2025.

Licensing requirements: Proposers must hold a California State License Board (CSLB) Class B general contractor license along with Class C-10 (electrical), C-7 (low-voltage systems), and C-16 (liquefied petroleum gas and fuel) contractor licenses. Proposals must follow the specified format and content requirements as detailed in the RFP document, with pricing proposals submitted separately. Evaluation will occur in multiple phases, with the County retaining the right to select the most qualified firm.
