Land RFI

Hawaiian Electric Company is conducting a Land Request for Information (RFI) to identify available land parcels for utility-scale renewable energy projects on Oahu and Hawaii Island. This initiative is part of the Integrated Grid Planning (IGP) RFP process. Land sites have been identified by landowners who are open to discussions with prospective renewable energy project developers interested in siting utility-scale renewable energy projects on their properties.

To access the available land parcel information, interested developers must complete, sign, and return a Mutual Confidentiality and Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) to be executed with the Company. The NDA form is non-negotiable and will be the same NDA required to participate in the upcoming Oahu and Hawaii Island IGP RFP. The NDA PDF contains specific text box fields that must be filled in completely.

Developers should fill in the NDA text boxes and digitally sign the document in Adobe, ensuring that the 'Print Name' and 'Its' title fields are completed before signing, as signing will lock those fields. All Hawaiian Electric Company, Inc. and Hawaii Electric Light Company, Inc. fields should be left blank. The completed NDA should be sent to landrfi@hawaiianelectric.com. Upon execution by the Company, the Land RFI Team will provide developers with the Oahu and Hawaii Island Land RFI results.

Developers who, after reviewing the Land RFI results, are interested in a particular location and wish to further pursue developing a renewable energy project proposal should contact the landowner or designated representative directly to initiate discussions to secure land rights for the property.
