Lincoln Electric System – Request for Information Wind/Solar

Lincoln Electric System (LES) is issuing this Request for Information (RFI) to gather market intelligence on wind and/or solar generation projects that could be procured through a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA). The primary goal is to identify projects that can still leverage the outgoing federal tax credits, specifically the Federal Clean Electricity Investment Credit or the Federal Clean Electricity Production Credit. LES is a public power utility serving Lincoln, Nebraska, and is looking to add cost-effective renewable energy to its resource portfolio.

LES has specified a set of preferences for projects submitted in response to this RFI. Preferred projects should have a nameplate rating between 50 MWAC and 150 MWAC, a PPA term of 20 to 30 years, and be located within the footprint of the Southwest Power Pool (SPP) regional transmission organization. Additionally, projects must demonstrate the ability to secure the applicable federal clean electricity tax credits. There is no stated limit on the number or size of projects that may be submitted, but the preferences indicate the scale and location that LES is most interested in.
