Marine and Coastal Resources Energy Research Plan Request for Information (RFI 6184)

NYSERDA is soliciting input from interested stakeholders through a Request for Information (RFI 6184) to inform the development of a new Marine and Coastal Resources Energy Research Plan under the NYSERDA Environmental Research Program. This RFI seeks to identify information gaps and research needs related to the impacts, benefits, and co-utilization opportunities from energy development and operation on environmental and fisheries resources. Responses will help NYSERDA prioritize research plan items using criteria including alignment with New York State policies, alignment with NYSERDA and program goals, and feasibility of implementation.

The RFI welcomes input from all interested stakeholders, including researchers, environmental organizations, fishing industry representatives, energy developers, government agencies, and other parties with relevant expertise or interests. Respondents are encouraged to address research priorities, data needs, monitoring requirements, and mitigation strategies related to marine and coastal energy resources.

NYSERDA reserves the right to share responses with other state agencies or provide aggregated response summaries to the public or non-State partners, provided that individual respondent identities are not disclosed. NYSERDA does not intend to publish individual responses to this RFI. All contractors producing content intended for web publication must adhere to NYSERDA's Accessibility Policy and Requirements.

Round 1 submission deadline is July 31, 2026.
