McIntosh GT2 – Simple Cycle Gas Turbine Exhaust Expansion Joint Replacement

Lakeland Electric seeks qualified contractors to furnish and install a replacement exhaust expansion joint assembly for the McIntosh GT2 Simple Cycle Gas Turbine. The project involves removing the existing expansion joint soft parts, supplying and installing new composite fabric expansion joint components, inspecting adjacent components, and properly torquing all fasteners to return the unit to service-ready condition.

The McIntosh GT2 Unit is a simple cycle gas turbine generator with a nominal rating of 120 MW, operating on natural gas with a heat rate of 9,900 Btu/KWh. The exhaust expansion joint is critical for absorbing thermal growth and vibration while preventing gas leakage, with average exhaust gas temperature at full load below 1,050°F. The existing expansion joint soft parts set has reached the end of its service life and requires replacement to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operation.

The Contractor shall provide all labor, supervision, materials, and equipment to complete the replacement work in accordance with industry standards, OEM specifications, and Lakeland Electric's safety procedures. All work must be performed following the detailed scope of work, insurance requirements, and safety specifications outlined in the RFP. Any repairs identified beyond the defined scope shall be performed only upon written authorization from Lakeland Electric on a time-and-materials basis.
